Authenticity and compassion are at the core of my work. I believe that true healing begins with an honest and genuine connection, and I prioritize creating an space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. By making room for you to tell your personal story we can shine a light on old relationship patterns, understand them, and discover new ways to move forward. Meditation and mindfulness have been central to my own healing, and I weave them into my work so we can meet sensitive stories with curiosity and compassion.
As Pema Chödrön teaches, when we turn toward our experience rather than away from it, we discover that discomfort can be a doorway to wisdom. In this clarity, we find a kind of inner freedom: the ability to respond rather than react, to understand the roles we play in relationships, and to meet life with greater steadiness and ease.
I work with adults and adolescents and know that the clinical setting can be off putting for many adolescents. That is why I make room to incorporate their passions and interests into sessions so they know their authentic selves are welcome. I have integrated art, nature, and skateboarding into the counseling relationship to help create a safe environment.
