I firmly believe that each person has innate potential, adaptability, resiliency, and the capacity to be the best version of themselves. Yet, our minds and our physiological makeup work hard to counteract that potential with patterns of avoidance, anxiety, depression, and complacency; this keeps us feeling safe, yet stuck.
Therapy can disrupt these processes. Therapy can teach us valuable skills and reconfigure our thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors to seek different outcomes in life. Using a strong framework of ACT and CBT-based modalities, my clinical emphasis is to help those with a variety of mental health issues, particularly those with mood disorders, to find new outcomes.
