About
Have you ever felt isolated by having a disease that is rare, misunderstood, but affects your daily life? Have you felt othered by your identity or place in the world? Whether dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, or chronic health issues- there is a big impact on physical health. Utilizing an integrative approach and with a background in cognitive-behavioral therapy, relational therapy, and mindfulness-I aim to meet the goal of overall healing. Specifically, I specialize in depression and anxiety, and work with individuals experiencing the effects of trauma, diversity issues, and chronic health issues.
I place a high value on authenticity, empathy, and safety, and strive to work on clear goals to improve well-being. As a daughter of immigrants, someone dealing with two autoimmune diseases, Crohn's disease and PSC, I wish to use my personal experiences to better assist those who struggle with identity and health issues, and difficult transitions.
Asking for help is hard, especially when you are in pain or feeling isolated. It's a brave step to reach out for help. I strive to help you find your healthiest self and to improving your quality of life. Feel free to e-mail: drwells@smsb-llc.com
