My name is Claudia DeVaney and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in North Carolina. I am passionate about supporting individuals through life’s transitions in addition to helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship stressors and complex, attachment-based trauma. Reaching out for support can be intimidating, especially during times of change. As a therapist, my goal is to meet clients where they’re at and support them as they build clarity, resilience, and a more loving relationship with themselves.
Using an integrative approach, I draw from various evidence-based practices to meet each client’s unique needs including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed care.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, teens, and young adults in a variety of settings and
I bring a deep sense of empathy and understanding to my work and believe in the power of healing past wounds while building self-compassion, awareness, and acceptance. Together I work with clients to strengthen a greater sense of self, develop healthy coping strategies, and gain insight into how past and present experiences shape who we are today.
