I center my work with Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) persons at their intersections, most often LGBTQA+, artists, activists, deep seekers, and other healers. Many have a strong spiritual connection to their current obstacles and are willing to integrate that into their treatment. Presenting concerns range from racial trauma to life transitions, grief to identity. There is an understanding that what is presenting is not a problem, where the goal is creating more space around struggles, creating more options, finding a different perspective, and Being more fully.

Most important is my presence- to see others fully, cultivate acceptance for all parts of self, and possibility in each seeming impossibility. I work collaboratively, trust the innate wisdom of the humans, offering humor to inspire gentleness when facing difficulties, and practical skills to use and implement in daily life in simple, non-clinical manner.

Each person has the capacity to heal, therefore, I look first to my clients to show me works best. Many have found the integration of mindfulness, body, spirit, and education of the stress response most helpful in making people feel more aware of self as a whole and integrated Being.

Claudelle R Glasgow, PsyD, PLLC's Groups

Heart of Justice (BIPOC)

This 4 week healing group is for black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) womxn and femmes who are engaged in the work of dismantling unhealthy patterns in our society, or who are in the healing vocational path. We are often at the forefront of social justice movements, and often the first to experience burnout and loss of heart. This group will offer space to share stories of struggle, resistance and resilience. This will be an opportunity to learn from one another, create a daily practice of self-care, and learn ways to hold space for others with minimal drain.

Meditation on the Daily for BIPOC

A 5 week series introducing the instructions for basic mindfulness-awareness meditation with a safe community of other black, indigenous, and people of color. Meditation allows us the opportunity to reconnect with a genuine and good heart that is so often worn and torn by the -isms emboldened in today's society, and in our very city. This series will help establish a daily meditation practice that includes connection with our varied indigenous healing rituals.
