About

I often work with people who are experiencing sadness, frustration, anxiety, loneliness, and loss of meaning in their lives. Sometimes they know the cause of their feelings but many times they do not. Developing an awareness, understanding, and compassion for one's lived experience can help heal the pain causing our feelings. The work I do with clients often focuses on emotion and trauma.
It is important to me to provide non-judgmental, culturally humble, trauma-informed therapy using a focus on attachment, interpersonal process, and an understanding of unhealthy systems (family, work, society, etc). I emphasize building trust, providing empathy, non-pathology, and understanding the context impairing your functioning.
I know it can be difficult to trust someone with our vulnerability. And sharing our lived and emotional experience with someone who attentively and empathically listens can be very healing. I look forward to talking with you about the possibility of working together.
