Clarity Counseling is an outpatient treatment center that commits to providing quality treatment to individuals, families and groups in the Northern Virginia and Richmond area. Clarity specializes in providing comprehensive and evidenced-based treatment for eating disorder recovery and specialized therapies for mental illness. Clarity offers a unique experience where therapists collaborate with the individual and treatment professionals to offer a clear path, free from distortion. Committed to offering quality care, Clarity values working together with their client toward a fuller life that has balance, hope, and a full recovery.
Our therapists on staff hold certifications in therapies like DBT, RODBT, CBT, FBT, CPT, EMDR, Flash, and our founder is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. Clarity is an outpatient treatment center primarily cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic, with an emphasis on DBT skills. We have a passion to help and are committed to providing quality care.
Our mission, now that Clarity is based in Prince William, Fairfax, Loudoun, and the Greater Richmond area, and virtually, is to offer evidenced-based treatment to individuals and families impacted by an eating disorder and other mental health disorders. 16-Week DBT Skills Group

These 16 week DBT Skills groups run every 17 weeks and meets over Zoom. This group is comprehensive skills group that will go over the 4 modules of DBT. Each group member will be required to work with a primary therapist and provide authorization for the group leader to provide weekly updates. Members will be asked to complete diary cards weekly as well as behavioral chains, and will be filling their "tool box" with tools throughout the group. This group has run for 12 years and is a great group for skill building when managing intense emotions.

24-Week Teen Full Fidelity DBT Skills Group

The group is energetic, educational, and targets all 4 modules in DBT and will leave clients with a comprehensive binder of all of the skills learned throughout the group. This group will be offered in-person at the Gainesville location, Reston location, and virtually in VA/MD, and will spend 6 weeks per module and have 1 bi-week prior to starting a new module. Pending the group size, the group could accept new group members at the start of the new module, but this group will max out at 6 members. Parent training runs ever 6 weeks.

Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RODBT) is an evidenced-based approach to treat emotional over control We teach skills to understand our neuroregulatory system, and how this affects our relationships and contributes to feelings of loneliness.
