I was born in Vietnam, raised in the Bay Area of California, and now call North Carolina home. My husband is a retired soldier and together, we’ve lived all over the country. North Carolina is our home base but we also loved our time in Texas—one of the reasons I’m licensed in both states. Having experienced so many places and cultures, I have a real understanding and empathy for the unique personal, familial, social, and cultural challenges people face.
We live in a complex, evolving world, often navigating personal struggles while feeling isolated or judged. Many of us haven’t experience with true empathy, compassion, or access to the tools that help us face life’s challenges. In my work, I partner with clients to create a safe, judgment-free space where they can be fully themselves.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, but I also draw from various evidence-based modalities because each client deserves individualized care. I work from a place of empathy and nonjudgment, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, EMDR, and solution-focused strategies. My goal is to collaborate with and empower clients.
