As a therapist it is an honor for me to be able to walk alongside individuals as they learn to navigate the challenges and tribulations of life. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including individuals struggling with life stressors, communication and conflict in relationships, women that are coming out of long term relationships, people living with HIV, victims of crime, trauma survivors and unaccompanied minors living in shelters. In addition I have experience collaborating with attorneys for individuals that need a clinical evaluation for their immigration case.

I am a trauma informed therapist and have training in a variety of treatment modalities, such as EMDR, DBT, CBT and motivational interviewing. I believe in treating the whole person (mind, body and spirit), and will often integrate mindfulness in the counseling sessions. I have specialized training in immigration evaluations.

In your first session, we will explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With EMDR, we'll look at your memories and past experiences and work on reprocessing them to reduce their power and help you get "unstuck", to be able to heal.
