Let’s be honest- starting therapy can feel weird. It can be scary, awkward, vulnerable…and stir up a lot of other feelings that make it hard to get started.
When you walk into my office, my hope is that it feels like a place where you can finally exhale. You might find me barefoot. And if a well-timed swear word slips into conversation, I promise I won’t be offended. You don’t have to show up polished or have the “right” words. Come exactly as you are.
I primarily work with ages 13 and up and who are navigating anxiety, depression, PMDD, trauma, relationship challenges, or experiences that continue to affect the way they move through life. Whether you’ve experienced one major event or years of little things that have added up, you deserve a space where you don’t have to minimize your story.
So come as you are. Cry if you need to. Laugh when it happens. Cuss if that’s your language. We’ll figure it out together.
