About
I have been joyfully practicing psychotherapy for over 30 years in the greater Washington, D.C. area. I have a general practice and specialize in depression, bipolar disorder and addictions/recovery/co-dependency issues. I work with chronic illness and specialize in diabetes. My preferred modality is individual and couple's therapy. I enjoy my clients immensely and feel a great deal of satisfaction in helping people better their lives, alleviate depression and resolve painful relationship issues.
I have received post graduate training in cognitive behavioral and family systems therapy and have worked intensely and successfully with client's suffering from depression and bipolar issues.
I work in conjunction with psychiatrists and physicians when appropriate.
I also enjoy working with the LGBT population and have for over 30 years.
I am certified in EMDR. I also make home visits for the geriatric population in some cases.
I accept Medicare, Aetna (PPO only) and Blue Cross/Blue Shield but do not participate in any other health insurance program.
