Our traumas live in our bodies. For many of us, talking about our challenges is not enough. My integrative somatic approach combines counseling and touch, working on a massage table. Rosen Method Bodywork grows our awareness of how and what we are holding. Muscle tension reveals how we have adapted around painful memories, emotions, and beliefs. Tension in the body has helped us cope, but now may limit our breath, relationships, and our full sense of aliveness. As the unconscious becomes conscious, memories and emotions often arise for us to be with and explore.
I use an integrative approach, blending Rosen Method Bodywork with my decade+ experience as a somatic psychotherapist. This work can be supportive for those experiencing trauma symptoms in their bodies, psychosomatic concerns, chronic tension, pain, or numbness, for those with touch trauma, and for those who want a body based approach to healing.
My intention is to provide compassionate witness, to aid you in growing embodied self awareness, and to support you in deeply knowing and caring for yourself. My style is warm and collaborative. My practice is grounded in a commitment to social and ecological justice, and I love working with people of all genders. This is sacred work. Welcome.
