Hi, I’m Claire, one of the therapists at Creasman Counseling. I provide individual therapy to adults 18+ and work with a wide range of mental health concerns. I specialize in working with queer, trans, and non-monogamous clients, those experiencing grief or end-of-life, neurodivergence, and anyone navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, identity questions, or other existential exploration. I offer virtual therapy to clients across North Carolina, with a focus on serving areas where therapists with anti-oppression, liberation-based values may be less accessible, though I welcome clients from all parts of the state.
I practice from an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring our work to support your growth and explore your unique experiences while acknowledging the larger systems of power and oppression that shape them. While therapy cannot change the material realities of an unjust world, I believe everyone deserves a supportive space within it.
My therapeutic philosophy centers on collaboration, mutual respect, and authenticity in the client-therapist relationship, guided by the words of the Murri political activist, Lilla Watson: “If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together."
