About
Mental Health Matters and through therapy and the creative process you can build your mental health to where you want it to be. It is an honor to work with people in their life transitions. I have worked with mental health issues like bereavement, chronic mental health issues, life changes, military, first responders, grief, and loss as well as death and dying. The theories that I use most often use are Motivational Interviewing, CPT, Eclectic, and Experiential Therapies. I completed my Masters in Clinical Counseling and Art Therapy at Emporia State University and am currently under supervision for my PLPC and ATR-P licenses.
With my duel license, I can help you process emotion through traditional talk therapy and through the creative process. I am knowledgeable about many different art materials and have experience helping clients use are for self-exploration, trauma processing, and emotion regulation.
Some emotions and thought processes are too intense or complicated to be expressed in words. Art therapy and the creative process can circumvent the need for words and helps my clients express themselves wholly and develop emotion regulation coping skills they can apply throughout their life after therapy ends.
