My name is CJ and I am an experienced Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I enjoy working with clients who are open and willing to learn and try new ways of thinking and behaving. My hope is that clients don't enter therapy looking for somebody to simply tell them what to do; I don't believe that's my role as a clinician. Instead, effective therapy is about collaborative partnership. Remember, you are the expert on you. I want to utilize that expertise to work with you to create and move towards your goals. Much of my work is focused on helping youth and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, anger and addiction.
I’ve been able to help a wide variety of individuals with many different challenges and many diverse goals. I utilize cognitive behavioral interventions focused on our patterns of thinking, acting, and feeling, and how our outcomes might be influenced by shifting these patterns in therapy and in practice outside of sessions.
I firmly believe anyone can benefit from therapy, no matter their current life position. What's bad can become good, and what is good can become even better. I work to create a safe space of compassion and understanding completely free of judgment that is focused solely on you and your well-being. I am currently accepting new clients.
