I get to work with clients who find themselves struggling with all different forms of addictions. I know from personal recovery and through years of working with individuals with addictions that having someone to listen to you with unconditional understanding and support is so important to making the changes that you truly want to make but may not know how. Most of my clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, addictions, and other struggles work to identify their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are hindering their daily life as we develop real-time interventions to to help decrease those struggles.
Motivational Interviewing is one my specialties as I understand the importance of identifying and healing from suppressed and painful emotions. I also use CBT and ACT interventions as these are so helpful to recognize and accept some of our more hurtful thought processes and emotions. It may sound like a lot of work, which it is, but the journey is worth it.
I understand how hard it can be to pick up that phone, or walk through that front door for the first time. It feels like a risk, and risk is scary. But that decision to make a phone call or walk through that door may be the first step towards real change in your life. I invite you to give us a call and find what change can look like in your life.
