As a psychologist and yoga therapist, I work with clients of all ages (adults, children, adolescents, families, and couples) with all types of concerns. I have specialties in somatic (body) psychotherapy, trauma (and trauma-sensitive yoga), LGBTQ+ concerns, sexual orientation, and gender identity. I have strong interests in the connection between mind-body-spirit, well-being, stress and emotional regulation, and alternative approaches to healing. Sometimes, I integrate psychotherapy with yoga, breathwork, and meditation practices. I also have interests in depression, anxiety, self-esteem, eating, weight, and body image concerns.
Like many psychologists, I use an integrative approach and eclectic methods depending on clients' concerns. I have strong interests in yogic and Buddhist psychology, as well as Gestalt, humanistic/existential psychology, and transpersonal/depth psychology. I have training in family systems, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic & biopsychosocial orientations.
I aim to create a safe, supportive environment, as trust is the foundation of healing. I help clients explore feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, as well as the interrelationships among them. We focus on clients' current situations, identifying patterns and beliefs that developed over time, considering whether they are still helpful or healthy.
