It can also, at times, be very challenging. However, the goal will always be to bring about some positive change.
I operate from a cognitive behavioral lens while pulling from existential and solution-focused theories. What this means is that I believe in working with my client(s) to challenge faulty thoughts or perceptions and looking for solutions to these issues. In addition, I believe that people are motivated to change based on the meaning they give their life.
Entering therapy is a serious, sometimes tough, decision. Regardless of how you have come to counseling, I am glad you contacted me to help you with making solid change matter. I believe therapy is a mutual effort process that works better with respect, responsibility, and consideration between the client and the clinician.
