*********ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS ********** I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW). I attended the Boston University School of Social Work and have 20+ years of experience. I received training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, however I use an eclectic approach when working with my clients. I choose the skills that are most appropriate in meeting a client where he or she is at, which include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, supportive psychotherapy, trauma informed treatment, and spiritual counseling.
I work with clients of all ages. I work with a variety of mental health issues and problems, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relations, and coping with various life circumstances. I also enjoy working with individuals who have various physical disabilities including visual impairments.
Entering counseling can be a difficult decision but also life changing. My goal in therapy is to instill a sense of hope, empowerment, and belief that repetitive struggles and suffering can change.
