My name is Cindy Carino and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in New York State. My therapeutic approach is a strength-based, solution-focused, empathetic/non-judgmental, and unconditionally supportive one. My experience consists of couples therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, home-based therapy, trauma-focused, and play therapy. I work with individuals, families, and couples. The conditions I am most comfortable treating are depression, trauma, PTSD, self-esteem, anger, impulsivity, and grief.
My therapeutic approach is a strength-based, solution-focused, empathetic/non-judgmental, and unconditionally supportive one. The theoretical approaches I often use are SFBT, CBT, EFT, Marital Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, Play-Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Strategic Family Therapy.
I use a non-judgmental and supportive tone while in sessions. I often use humor as needed as well to create a more comfortable environment. I believe that working with me feels safe as I also believe in using disclosure whenever necessary so my clients feel even more supported/validated in their experiences.
