Cindy is a Licensed Independent Addictions Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with training in EMDR and Forward Facing Trauma Therapies. Cindy utilizes lived experience, education, training and a wide array of therapeutic techniques and modalities to personalize treatment based on the diverse challenges and personal goals of each client. Addiction and trauma tell us to suffer in silence and recovery begins when we reach for and find community and support. I started off as a Special Education Teacher in the late 90's based on a calling to assist children with diverse challenges and needs in realizing and growing their strengths to thrive in life and realize their goals. Helping others to see, embrace, grow and utilize their amazing attributes and strengths has always been my passion in life.
After having struggled with addiction and past trauma myself for many years (and finding real recovery) I decided to pursue my master's degree in addiction counseling to to share the miracle of recovery with others. I trained to be a Certified Trauma Provider to assist trauma victims in redefining themselves as the empowered survivors they truly are!
