I believe that a relationship of trust between therapist and patient is key to successful therapy outcome. I've been involved in the social service/mental health field since 07. My experience and career of assisting other ranges from working at a homeless shelter to incarcerated youth to Adult Inpatient Psych. Many of client concerns that I have assisted in range from past/present trauma events, negative view of self, and life transitions and cognitive distortions and depressed/anxious mood and etc. All with the goal of seeking some form of peace and balance in their lives.

I’m currently not taking new clients. During times of change, transition, stressful events or due to our limiting beliefs, we may seek guidance to become more flexible, expansive and self- aware. Transitions may include retirement, developing a second act in life, empty nest, aging, grief and loss of a loved one or pet, divorce or trauma. I draw from the ancient wisdom of Yoga, Ayurveda and my knowledge gained through 20 years of professional experience as a therapist, to provide individuals guidance on a path of balance and self- awareness.

Small Steps works with children from birth to 18 years of age in the areas of Infant Mental Health and Development Therapy, Play Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Art Therapy, Dance and Movement Therapy, Parenting Support and Education and Home Visiting. Each of these modalities focuses on helping young children develop healthy neurological and psychological functioning as well as healthy relationships and resiliency.

My practice is designed to help clients work through issues, current or historical, which are keeping them from a full and contented life . I have over 20 years counseling experience. My specialties are eating disorders of all types,trauma and OCD treatment. Because, eating disorders co-occur with many other psychological diagnoses including PTSD, OCD, and various anxiety and mood and personality disorders, I have learned to employ a variety of techniques to achieve results, and not stick to a "one-size-fits-all" treatment approach.
