Everyone has a story to tell, a thread that consciously or unconsciously guides his or her behavior, wants, and motivations. In my practice, I try to help people who have become unhappy with their current pattern of living and have begun to think about building a clearer understanding of who they are and who they feel they would like to "be." I work to build a mutual appreciation for each other's story. Having received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral and Analytical Theory, I am able to provide an eclectic approach to working with a wide variety of clients' needs.
I have worked extensively with a wide variety of cultures and populations; including college students/emerging adults, children and adolescents, people struggling with gender and sexual identity issues as well as older populations experiencing significant life transitions.
In addition, my strong foundation in Motivational Interviewing enables me to provide a safe and empathic place for those struggling with substance misuse to explore their commitment to behavioral change. I am currently a Licensed Psychologist in both NH as well as RI (telehealth only please).
