I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in New Hampshire and Maine. And I see couples online -- benefits are (1) partners don't have to travel to see me, (2) it's safe and private, (3) partners enter and participate in our sessions on separate devices in separate locations so each has some "space" to think clearly and reflect on what is going on, and (4) when our sessions end, partners are already back home, or still at the office, etc. The couple has saved a significant amount of time "coming and going." Couples report that they really like this format.
Helping couples is my specialty. In my time as a therapist, I've now worked with more than 1,000 couples. Yes, there are moments of happiness in most intimate relationships. Those sort of save us. And then there's the anger, and the anxiety, and the sadness. And that's what I treasure my about work -- helping couples move from "stuck to unstuck."
I do not accept payment through insurance. I am what is labeled a “fee for service” practice. Following each session, I send you a special type of receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network benefits and/or count toward your annual insurance deductible, use for your HSA, etc. My rate is $120.00 for a 1-hour session.
