My name is Angela Johnson, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 15 years of clinical experience working with young adults and the LGBTQ+ community with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Trauma, PTSD, and Panic Attacks. I utilize a combination of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Couples Therapy, Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Focused during my treatments with clients. I believe it is also my job to help clients learn about themselves and determine what is important and what is not.
I try to make you feel comfortable and safe. I don’t want you to feel like you are being forced to give answers to questions. It would be best if you didn’t feel like you didn’t want to be in therapy. In the end, I want you to get that Ah-ha moment that lets you know that you can control your mental illness and not be judged because you have mental illness.
