Although I work well with clients across the broad spectrum of needs, I prefer working with couples who are experiencing marital, relationship and family difficulties. I also work with clients experiencing domestic violence, grief and PTSD. I come armed with 34 years of experience that allows me to help clients work on the ongoing development of the self including their internal strength; becoming less dependent on others for validation. I also work with an acute focus on intercultural difficulties.
I embrace the thinking that most clients are aware of the nature of their struggles, but they have difficulty working them through. Therefore, I work from a systemic perspective, incorporating the cognitive, emotional, physical, social and spiritual experiences of each clients in order to optimize their opportunity for resolution.
I work alone, working with each client system from intake through to termination, including some free post termination follow-up sessions.
