We start by clarifying what your life will be like if we decide to work together and are successful. Then we ferret out the strategy you used to stay safe in your family and culture of origin. What you did then was useful (e.g. hiding, fighting, running away, lying) but likely no longer helps to manifest the life you long for today. Changing once useful ways of adopting is challenging and requires patience. Your primitive brain says "Don't change what kept you safe". Challenging that message creates anxiety so we practice ways to handle it.
