Are you a parent in need of a middle school whisperer? As a young Black girl, I experienced the most challenging times in middle school. My academics were overwhelming, my body fought against me and I lived in constant fear of being bullied about my weight. While I struggled to find my crowd among my peers, trusted adults served as bright lights for me. They helped me navigate the terrain, solve peer conflict and increase my overall self-esteem.
I aim to emulate that same glimmer of bright light that I was gifted in middle school. My primary goal is to help middle-school-aged children adjust to the revolving door of challenges they may be facing. I additionally work to assist parents with managing sudden changes in the child's mood, behaviors and interactions.
