As a biracial human, I understand the juggling process between developing identity while also finding a sense of belonging within communities. Doing this on top of just simply learning how to be an adult and manage emotions can be a difficult juggling process! I prioritize the awareness of various factors like multiculturalism, oppression, trauma, and neurodiversity when working on deepening your understanding of yourself and reintegrating the connection between your mind, body, and spirit. Due to these factors, I bring my genuine personality to help build trust in the therapeutic relationship.
My role as therapist is to take the time to build our relationship, learn about your processing style and encourage a non-judgmental environment for you first so that we can use a collaborative approach. We will often use Expressive Arts Therapy, mindfulness, and CBT in our colaboration.

Yoga + Sound Bath: Creativity, Movement,
A biweekly reset in Chicago: intention-setting journaling, gentle yoga + breathwork, then a restorative sound bath for deep rest. This is a wellness-based session is 75 minutes.

The Mixed Identity Therapy Group
This is a group for adults who have a multiracial and/or multiethnic identity. This will group will provide space for multiracial individuals to discuss and create art regarding intersectionality of their identity and topics often overlooked in research and media. The goals are to increase self-acceptance and provide opportunities to be seen through shared experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss specific themes related to the identity, receive peer insight, and have creative processing (art, writing, etc.). *This 8 week group can be covered by insurance.*
