I'm not going to lament to you about how hard life is; if you're here you know that. My clientele often have a history of working with many therapists, and not finding the help adequate. Whether it's Autistic Burnout, social exclusion due to neurodiversity, sexual difficulties, disabling symptoms of ADHD, or hitting a wall regarding improvement in therapy, I have a plan. Neurodiversity does not jive with homework, so I do not give any. You will be challenged, and given a plethora of psychoeducation; because it is so hard to change something unless you know how it works.
My speciality is ADHD/Autism that is complicated by severe trauma. I am an EMDRIA therapist, having completed advanced training. You will receive a mix of EMDR and DBT that is custom tailored to your personal needs, and your treatment plan will be as flexible and as fluid as life tends to be. If private pay is acceptable, I can also perform Hypnotherapy.
The thing is, Potential Client, I have Asperger's Autism, so I understand your struggles. This also means I think in a way that is outside-the-box. Some of my clients have had 14+ past therapists, yet only find success with me, because their neurodivergence was separated from their mental illness; something that rarely works.
