Welcome to Chrysalis Music Therapy, where the mission is to encourage and support those who are struggling with mental health challenges. I offer Telehealth sessions to my individual clients who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, mood disorders or are experiencing challenging life circumstances. I use music as a way of processing and expressing our struggles through songwriting, lyric analysis and exploring the themes in music that we connect with. No music experience is needed to engage in music therapy!
I use music as a tool to dive deeper into experiences, emotions, and the processing journey. Music is a great tool to explore issues that can be difficult to talk about or that we don't understand. It could be a song we explore that validates your experiences, songwriting to creatively express yourself or learning an instrument for a creative coping skill.
If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies -Walt Disney. Chrysalis got its name because I believe in change. I believe that therapy is about going through our chrysalis's to better understand them so that we can be our true authentic self when we emerge.
