Taking care of your mental health is important. If you are reading my profile, you have taken an important first step in finding a therapist to work with. My approach to therapy is to help you find more effective ways to live a healthier, happier, and more successful life utilizing what works best for you to deal with the challenging issues in your life and to make the changes you desire. I have over 35 years of clinical experience. I’ve been licensed as a psychologist in Minnesota since 1986 and as a Professional Counselor in Colorado since 2011.
I have experience helping people work depression, anxiety, self-esteem, childhood abuse, relationship issues, victimization, parenting issues and addiction related issues. I have a special interest in working with adults who have aging parents to help process and manage changes in independence, difficult medical issues and end of life issues.
I've been married 37 years, have 4 grown children, 7 grandchildren and my father is 95 years old! My love for skiing, biking & the mountains brought me from MN to CO. I enjoy traveling and have been to all 50 states and 7 countries. Valuing community service, I work with the American Red Cross as a Disaster Mental Health volunteer.
