No experience in art is necessary to benefit, you only need the willingness to express yourself and engage in the creative process.
Art therapy is a powerful mind-body therapeutic process and using art in therapy stimulates the brain in areas inaccessible by verbal stimulation alone, which contributes to new neural connections. Focus is on the therapeutic process of art making, creativity and reflection, as well as personal growth and development.
