For some, therapy is part of a broader approach to life in which insight and inner work are seen as core elements to living well and expansively. For others, the step to seek therapy is taken out of pain and suffering and after much deliberation. At times our internal experiences are so painful, they prevent us from fully engaging in our lives and relationships. Therapy can help you learn to hold with care and confidence all your thoughts, feelings and memories while moving through life in a meaningful way.
I provide therapy services to older adolescents, adults, and couples. I specialize in treating anxiety and mood disorders. I also specialize in the area of grief and loss. I have a particular interest in working with women and couples around issues of infertility and pregnancy loss.
I work from a psychodynamic and relational model. My style is warm, interactive, and honest. I often find it helpful to incorporate the evidence based practices of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy) as well as Mindfulness-based interventions.
