My goal is to help you create a family where both parents and children can grow to meet their full potential, becoming the persons they were meant to be. I do this through individual therapy with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as family therapy and parenting education and coaching. I use a whole family approach when possible, with a warm, non-threatening style.
I have been practicing since 1986 with experience in family service agencies, mental health centers, and elementary schools. I also served as Clinical Instructor in the UNC School of Social Work.
I specialize in parenting, families in transition, including divorce and step families, children experiencing anxiety, behavior problems, learning challenges including ADHD, as well as adolescents and adults struggling with stress, anxiety, depression and interpersonal relationships.
