Dr. Cierra Listermann is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of the Cumberlands, following completion of her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies from Eastern Kentucky University. She has extensive experience working in various mental health settings including forensic, correctional, and private practice. Her areas of clinical focus include trauma and PTSD, LGBTQIA+, anxiety, depression, adjustment/life transitions, burnout/stress, family of origin concerns, and women's issues.
Clinically, she practices from an interpersonal perspective while utilizing techniques based on the individual needs of the client including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, cognitive processing, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Listermann believes that every client deserves to feel welcome, supported, and heard.
Burnout Group starting 09/11/23! Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Listermann enjoys spending quality time with her husband Tim, and their border collie, Stanley. She is a devoted University of Kentucky Men’s College Basketball fan and rarely misses an opportunity to cheer on the Wildcats to victory!
