Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Originally in practice on the East Coast, I've spent the last decade helping adults, adolescents, and couples overcome difficulties and live more fulfilling lives. Since my days in graduate school, I've maintained a strong interest in understanding how psychotherapy can promote deep and lasting change in a time-efficient way. I approach psychotherapy from the belief that all human beings have the potential for healing and self-righting, and the way that we tap into that potential begins with building a secure and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
My way of working is rooted in compassion and focuses not only on thoughts and beliefs but also on the importance of emotions in helping us identify needs and make good choices. I utilize affective, cognitive, and experiential techniques derived from cutting-edge affective neuroscience and psychotherapy research.
I enjoy working with adults and adolescents, particularly adolescent males. I believe that psychotherapy can offer young men a space to talk about difficult matters without fear of judgment and with the opportunity to learn skills like managing emotions, controlling negative thoughts, building self-esteem, and communicating effectively.
