I specialize in treating clients with clinical depression, anxiety, or PTSD and stress the importance of addressing these challenges within the context of a healing therapeutic relationship. While cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches are valuable tools for change, I recognize the profound impact of relational dynamics only my client's mental health. They may have experienced significant trauma or adversity in their lives, contributing to their current struggles with mood disorders and anxiety. Despite their difficulties, they possess a willingness to engage in a healing relationship.
In other words, emotional wounds and unhelpful behaviors and beliefs occur in relationship, which is why healing also needs to occur in relationship. This is precisely what counseling and psychotherapy are about and why they can be so vital to your healing and growth. And this is why I work from an integrative, attachment-focused, psychodynamic perspective.
This means that I don't provide "cookie-cutter" therapy. Through the healing relationship we create, your child and you can learn to transform any thoughts, beliefs, or behaviors that are keeping you from achieving your goals. Our relationships are what give life meaning and joy. If you're ready to make yours the best they can be, please contact me today!
