Toward this end, I find direct feedback, humor, empathy, and true collaboration to be indispensable tools.
I am an active therapist, spontaneously providing direct, practical feedback throughout the session. I try to maintain a balance of relieving symptoms and discovering personal meaning. I apply different modalities as they are called for, primarily employing tools from relational, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral therapies.
My most rewarding work has been with couples handling infidelity or considering separation. I find the dynamic between two people infinitely interesting and practically very changeable. I enjoy working with co-parents, business partners, and individuals expressing a wide range of problems. My relaxed style helps people feel comfortable quickly.
