An area of focus in my practice is working with parents, couples and families in times of adjustment and transition, particularly in the early years of parenthood. Parenthood can be very demanding especially when you're trying to maintain a career and relationships with your partner, family and friends. I work with clients to give them communication tools and self-care strategies as well as increasing self-awareness and personal insight.
In addition to working with parenting issues I also have experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and family structures issues. I'm a trained art therapist and use art with clients who are interested as the creative process can provide an alternative to purely verbal therapy.
I hold a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a certificate in Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University. MFC # 50691
