I have been in practice since 2002, helping adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. I work collaboratively with clients from a biopsychosocial perspective, using the interrelationship between the mind and body as a focus for treatment. As a medical psychologist on staff at Swedish Hospital in Chicago, I am better able to diagnose and treat psychological issues that also can lead to physical disorders and medical conditions that have concurrent psychological impact.

I offer comfort, counsel and clarity to individuals and families facing medical illness, grief, loss and bereavement, and/or life transitions. Companioning folks on these journeys allows me to help them lessen their sense of isolation, to help identify and utilize their strengths, and to manage difficult emotions. Frequently clients are overwhelmed and need help sorting through stressful feelings and situations. Once that is accomplished, much progress is made. In life transitions, identifying and touching the emotions and then re-establishing a life-plan are often the primary goals, crafted to the client's unique needs.

Whether you are experiencing a heartbreak, a new diagnosis, or trying to understand how you arrived at this place in your life, my job as your therapist is to assist you through these struggles and explore alternative ways to think and cope. I will provide a compassionate place for you to freely express yourself and give you honest feedback. Individuals are complex and psychological concerns cannot be separated from family dynamics, personal history, identity issues, work-related stress, and physical health.
