Dr. Menken developed her career at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where she ran women's groups, trained psychology interns and developed a specialty in Maternal Mental Health. She co-founded The Pregnancy and Postpartum Resource Center at CPMC where she was Assistant Professional Psychologist. Dr. Menken currently serves Postpartum Support International on the Presidents Advisory Council and as the NJ Coordinator. She was a member of Governor Codey's Professional Education Committee on Postpartum Depression. She currently sits on The Maternal Mortality Review for the state of NJ.
Dr. Menken maintains a private practice in Montclair, NJ, for women with disorders across the reproductive years. She taught a Mind/Body course for infertility patients at St. Barnabas Hospital. She also offers Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster Workshop for patients anticipating any form of surgery. She trained in Psychological First Aid at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Menken is co-editor and author of Perinatal and Postpartum Mood Disorders: Perspectives and Treatment Guide for the Health Care Practitioner, Springer, 2008.
