Finding the right therapist is incredibly important and I strive to create a non-judgmental and safe therapeutic environment. I work primarily with individual adult clients with a specialization in working with emerging adult women (ages 18 - 30). Within therapy, I focus on understanding your emotions, expressing your emotions in a healthy and constructive way, relationships, and how early childhood and family experiences have affected you so you are better able to create healthy coping mechanisms for the stresses of daily life.
I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and helping them understand how those experiences have affected them, their relationships, and help individuals heal from these past pains. I also support individuals who are waiting for or who have received an organ transplant.
Therapy can be difficult but it can also be transformative. I focus on creating an authentic relationship with my clients by utilizing warmth, humor and information to help you understand the issues you experience and integrate what you learn either into new coping skills, relationships skills or understanding of yourself, leading to more happiness.
