Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPC-C). I counsel adolescents and adults at Empowerment Behavioral Health Counseling & Consulting, LLC, and am a Trauma Therapist at Bethesda, Inc., serving minor-age survivors of sexual abuse and their caregivers.
I prioritize a collaborative therapeutic relationship, empathic support, and a judgment-free space. Using an integrative approach to therapy, I help individual clients and couples to identify and overcome barriers. EMDR has proven to be helpful for clients who have already tried talk therapy or who don't want to talk about the details of their situations.
My past experience includes almost 7 years of crisis center advocacy, a local child grief support agency, working with sexually abused minors and their caregivers, and counseling clients through overwhelming life adjustments. I am also an INELDA-trained End of Life Doula, am a member of the Oklahoma Religious Trauma Network, and am EMDR-Trained.
I work with many issues, including bereavement, childhood trauma, sexual assault, religious trauma, life adjustment issues, cancer, and domestic violence. I have been extensively trained in trauma-informed care.
