Hi! I'm Christy Kneeland, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in various capacities in mental health care since 2007. I enjoy teaming up with my clients to help them define their issues of concern and identify what they want to achieve during counseling. I help clients work toward their personal goals using proven approaches based on the person's needs.
My primary theoretical approach is person-centered therapy. Many of my clients have done well by directing their own treatment and many have told me they are looking for an objective person who will help them process through the issues on their mind by listening and providing supportive feedback.
I became interested in mental health when I attended graduate school from 2003-2005. Over time I realized it's an area of social work that I have passion and aptitude for and some of my mentors and supervisors encouraged me to continue on that path.
