Hi, I'm Christy Johnson, LCSW and I specialize in helping people heal from past painful experiences and trauma, especially childhood and/or relational trauma. I use a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy, talk therapy, and body-based techniques stemming from somatic therapy. I pay special attention to how the nervous system and fight/flight response impacts our behavior and quality of life. I typically work with clients who have past painful experiences or trauma in their childhood or primary relationships and who would like to understand how those experiences impact them in the present.
I'm a supportive and encouraging guide who helps you tap into your inner wisdom. When I notice patterns that might be holding you back, I'll offer direct feedback to help you assess your thoughts and behaviors. I believe you're the expert on your own life.
To help you grow, I might suggest new techniques or ask thought-provoking questions during our sessions. I'm passionate about helping others find their path to balance and well-being. I was lucky to have compassionate guides on my own journey, and I'm happy to offer that same support to others.
