I’m Christopher "Topher" Scott, LPC Associate (supervised by Lesley Lanier Smith, LPC-S), certified yoga instructor (RYT-200), and Reiki Master. I also have a personal experience of surviving (and overcoming) trauma and treatment-resistant depression.
My approach explores the intersection of mind, body, spirit, collective consciousness, and heart. My role is to help you move from surviving and struggling to reclaiming your peace, your voice, your body, and your sense of hope, with compassion and curiosity.
I draw from evidence-based frameworks, including Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to support healing and transformation. Virtual Group Therapy for Chronic Depression
Beginning Sunday, January 11, 2026, this 90-minute telehealth therapy group is designed for adults living with chronic or treatment-resistant depression that has not responded to typical first-line antidepressants and/or therapy. This virtual group meets online and offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore the challenges of ongoing depression while building understanding and skills. Each week includes psychoeducation on second-line treatment options, coping strategies, group discussion, and a themed curriculum with reflective prompts and practical tools. The group is grounded in a compassion-focused, nonpathologizing approach that honors resilience, context, and connection.
