My name is Christopher Piccininni, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Long Island, New York, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I have experience working with adolescents and adults of all ages with various diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, schizophrenia as well as impulse control disorders. Various approaches may be used to help my clients make progress and start feeling better.
I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as both modalities help me and the client build a shared understanding of their reality and allow us to work together toward progress. I am open to utilizing different approaches based on the needs of each individual I work with.
I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adolescents, teens, and adults of all ages who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions and social pressures. I will work to help clients get a better understanding of their lives so they can achieve their goals and live life more positively.
