Christopher M. Stroven
Counselor, MA, LPC
Action oriented, directive, and goal driven. I specialize in working with clients who feel angry, agitated, and easily triggered. Those who feel stuck, anxious, and depressed. And those who feel trapped or unfulfilled within in a relationship. I work with clients to develop an individualized plan to create change within their current life situation. I implement accountability into the counseling process, establishing check-ins with clients to ensure progress and success.
Sometimes sitting on a couch and talking doesn't create change in one's life. In these cases, I will work to implement challenges and activities that will push you to grow. Sometimes talking is what you will need, for these situations, we'll talk, debrief, and create our game plan for growth.
Integrative Counseling embraces an attitude towards the practice of therapy that affirms the inherent value of each individual. It is a unifying therapy that responds appropriately and effectively to the person at the affective, behavioral, cognitive, and physiological levels of functioning, and addresses as well the spiritual dimension of life.
