About
I provide empathy, insight, and a seasoned approach in treating addiction, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and personality challenges. I assist individuals seeking freedom from out-of-control behaviors including substance abuse, sexual compulsivity, and other habituated difficulties. I'm credentialed to treat partners and couples affected by sexual betrayal as well as those experiencing negative relationship dynamics in general. My scope of practice also includes treating LGBTQ issues. Being a guide through adversity and loss, be it sudden or cumulative, is a primary objective in my collaborative approach with all my clients.
Persistent difficulties hijack every aspect of our lives and are often deeply rooted in past adverse experiences. Using schema therapy, relational interventions, and EMDR, I help locate and treat the source of counterproductive behaviors and moods. From there, a roadmap is constructed that will lead to new skills and a healthier relationship to the present.
I can help you break the suffering from unrelenting behaviors that have taken over and offer nothing more than diminishing returns and increased consequences. My skills can also meet your needs in breaking free of persistent life traps in the form of self-defeating patterns and distorted perceptions of self and the outer world.
